Meeting the Challenges of a New Century: Public Health and Finance

The Cambridge Alumni Relations Office will be organising the following event, and we will also be holding a reception towards the end of the session.

Meeting the Challenges of a New Century: Public Health and Finance

Join us at the Intercontinental on Sunday 7 April to hear leading experts from Cambridge and Singapore debate two of the key issues facing governments across the globe: Public Health and Finance.

From Cambridge Professor Martin Daunton and Dr Simon Taylor will join the Vice-Chanellor, Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz for a stimulating and thought-provoking discussion. The lecture programme runs from 1-30pm – 6.00pm and will be followed by an Evening Reception hosted by the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Singapore, giving you the chance to continue the debate with fellow alumni and the experts themselves.

We are pleased to announce that Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnan (Wolfson 1981), Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance for Singapore, will be joining the speaker’s programme for this prestigious event while Mrs TAN Ching Yee (Selwyn 1983), Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Singapore, will be joining the Healthcare Panel Discussion.
